Damex was tasked to redesign and develop the website for Bass Electronics, which is one of the most prominent car electronics & gadget supply in Canada. The problem with their previous website was that it lacked basic design aesthetics, and had a poor sales funnel. This meant that the client was loosing a lot of customers which could’ve been converted.
This is why they needed a complete website redesign and website development, that would showcase Bass Electronics’ eye for perfection and the website would be highly focused on conversions.
Website Redesign Phase
We started the website redesign work with simplifying the whole UI and UX, starting from users visiting the site and ending with a purchase. To simplify the website redesign process, we used a premium WordPress theme that would fit the client’s requirements.
While the theme made it easy for the whole website development phase, there were few things that we had to custom code to fit the website. There were custom features that were added, like a coronavirus tracker and a shipping tracking.
We also had to incorporate automated invoicing and TAX, along with payment gateways for easy payment processing.
Challenges for Website Development
A big challenge that we had to face was that the website contained upwards of three thousand products, and we had to ensure high SEO Optimization for each product along with acceptable site loading speed.
We had to manually input meta descriptions and alt tags in most pages for SEO Optimization, that complicated the website redesign and website development phase.
We had to use a high-capacity and high-speed server that could handle all the data for the website.
The end result was a beautifully-crafted website for Bass Electronics that looked great and could easily convert visitors with the Call-to-Actions.
